Meet Max Skowronek.....

YEP!!! We got a puppy! Mike got him for me for a graduation gift! I had been begging Mike for a puppy forever and I never thought he would actually get one! Max Skowronek was born June 28, 2009. He is the cutest thing I have ever seen! We adopted him yesterday from a lady in Holladay. They had 4. 2 boys and 2 girls. Max was the chunkiest and biggest and we knew we had to have him!! It is so funny, Mike is absolutely head over heals for this little guy! I have never seen Mike so gaga over anything! We are both so in love with him it is not even funny! He is already so spoiled! He had a great first night with us. He slept in his kennel for 5 hours straight! He started whining around 5:30 am, we let him out, he went potty, and came back in. After he went potty we let him sleep with us. He didn't even mess his kennel! He is doing so good! We just need to make sure we keep taking him out a couple times an hour. He is such a sweet boy!

Nursing School Graduation

On Friday, August 14 we had our graduation. It was up at the University of Utah Union Building and was a lot of fun. My whole family and Mike's family came. It felt so nice to finally walk across that stage and have them say my name! After, all of us went to Chili's to eat, then Mike and I went to Chelsey and Tyler's house. I could not have had a better celebration than sitting on the swing in their backyard talking until 4 am! And enjoying a few beverages..... :) I am so happy to be officially graduated! Now......its time to take the NCLEX!!

OK! I finally did it!! Yep....I'M DONE WITH NURSING SCHOOL! I seriously never thought this day would come! It still seems too good to be true! I had my last final yesterday and we have our graduation on Friday, August 14 at the University of Utah. I seriously would not have been able to get through school without certain people in my life! First off, I want to thank my Mom and stepdad, Mike for always supporting me and paying for my college and making it able for me to get this far. I love you so much and appreciate everything you do! Next, Memaw and Papaw! You are the best grandparents I could've asked for! You have also helped so much in getting through school. You invested a lot in me and I thank you for helping me financially as well! Although I loved calling you every week after a test and hearing you get so happy! (except for a couple times when i didn't do so well :) ) I am so excited not to be taking all those tests all the time! You were always encouraging and I thank you!!! I love you both so much! Dad, your words of encouragement were so nice all the time! I love to hear you are so proud of me and I am so happy to make you proud! I love you! Last, but not least, Mike! You were so patient during my school the last two years! I am so happy you stuck in there with me (even when I was super stressed out and mean!) You know I love you and I am so excited to be able to spend QUALITY time together! I can not wait to be married in just 5 short weeks! Thank you so much for being there for me and never giving up on me! Heather, Kade, and Courtney! I am so excited to be able to be a better sister/aunt and spending more time with you all! I love you! I am soooo ready to move on and get married. We are getting married on September 17 and I can't wait! It is going to be so beautiful! Although planning a wedding in the last two semesters in school got a little overwhelming sometimes I am so happy we didn't wait because I cant wait much longer! :)

STUPID BLOG!

I am boycotting blogging! I have been trying to post like 5 different times over the last couple months and I am STRUGGLING! I just end up getting frustrated and quitting/losing my post. I cant organize how i want it and i am just flat out getting SO MAD! So until further notice, I QUIT! I will be seeking help soon. Thank you for your patience and I hope to be back in the loop soon.

Just to sum things up...(I will do actual posts soon) but I had a wonderful time in Texas back in September, I have the best family and I am so excited for my cousin Robert and his wife, Elise. Their wedding was beautiful! I love and miss my family so much! I had a great 24th birthday on Friday and I have the most amazing boyfriend and friends. Thank you to Kristi, Chelsey, Summer, Morgan, Katie, Jaime, and Shannon for dinner on Saturday! Even though Shannon and Jaime showed up so conveniently late and ate all the leftovers. :) I love all you girls! Thank you again!

Ferron, Utah 8/10-8/13/2008

Last week we went camping with Mike's family down in Ferron (35 miles past Price) This place was absolutely gorgeous! We camped right on the lake, the weather was beautiful the whole time, the 4 wheeling trails were amazing and there was also a little 9 hole golf course too! Mike could seriously not ask for more! We had so much fun! I absolutely love Mike's parents! His aunt, uncle, and their grandson came too. His aunt got some awesome action pictures of us on the 4 wheelers. I was waiting to post until she emailed them to me but she hasnt yet so i just decided to do it. I will post those when she sends them. Mike is seriously a jack of all trades! He can fix anything, make anything, cook anything...just about do anything! It was so funny because the whole time his family would be asking him to do EVERYTHING! It would be "Uncle Mike, can you help me fish?!", "Uncle Mike, can we go for a ride!", "Mike, will you put up my tent?", "Mike, will you start the burketts?". It was hilarious! His nephews and neice love him! He is going to make the best Dad one day! Overall the trip was a success, for those of you who know, you know Mikes sister and I dont see eye to eye...AT ALL! There was only one minor hiccup I had with her all week. Which was pretty dang good!
Well we really want to make this place a yearly event and next year friends need to come! We will let you know when we are going again and you guys need to come!

We four wheeled up to another lake and it was quite a ways up the mountain. Literally it was 30 degrees cooler! (at least!) It was freezing, especially considering we were baking in the hot sun all day. Quite the dramatic drop in temp!

So Monday and yesterday I had my finals for this last semester (yes, we went to school ALL summer!) I am so excited and feel so relieved that one more semester is over! After this next semester I can get my LPN! Next August is when I will get my RN. ( i am so burnt out right now...i seriously do NOT know how i will make another year) This last year went by pretty fast so Im hoping for another fast one!
Mike and I are living together now and it is no nice!!! He is so amazing. It is so much easier than before when I would go home every 4 days and unpack and repack. We are shooting to have our wedding next September when I am all done with school. We will see... :)
Well thats a quick update on us these days. I know thats pretty much all i do every 3-4 months or so. I seriously think that I have the most BORING blog ever, my apologies. I am looking into buying a camera so I can be fun like everyone else. I still love looking at everyones blogs! If anyone can help spruce mine up while Im on vacation from school I would greatly appreciate that! (Chels, Kristi, sister...anybody!)

So last Monday Mike and I celebrated our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Little did I know that day one year ago that I was going to meet my best friend and love of my life! My life is so much better with him in it and cant imagine life with out him. He is the most amazing person i have ever met and i admire so many things about him. I am so happy to have met him and have him in my life every day! I look forward to many more anniversaries together. I LOVE YOU MIKE!

So I know many of you have probably seen Heather's blog but i wanted to add some pics too. :) I had so much fun with my Dad and Amy and I wish we didnt live so far away! Here are some pics of the weekend!! I am really sad that I didnt get any pictures of us sledding, which was hilarious, by the way. Kade did such a good job. All he wanted to do was go by himself. He went higher on the hill than I did! Anyways, Park City was so much fun and I hope my dad and Amy can come back soon!

Ok. So i know i started this in high hopes of keeping up with it and i have FAILED! So a large majority of the reason i have not posted anything is because my camera is broken and i dont have any cute up to date pictures. But now that I have been told that i can steal! and use on my profile I think i may begin to take that option!
Just a quick intro to bring everyone up to speed with my life. I am officially a nursing student now and in my first semester. I took one of the classes last semester and passed with an A- so therefore i am off to a pretty good start! i am really excited to have started now and begin the long process of becoming an RN. I am working at Jordan Valley Hospital while in school. It really is so helpful to work hand in hand with RNs on a regular basis and have them help me through it. So far some of the nurses i work with have been extremely helpful in getting me started. I am very thankful for them!
I am also dating Mike still. (i know...its a record!) haha. but seriously, he is amazing and I could not have found a better person! Its been 8 months and I have enjoyed every day I have been with him. He is so supportive and he is an excellent COOK! Which anyone who knows me, knows i dont cook. Although...i have been getting better! He motivates me! :)
Well....thats pretty much the low down on me lately. I am probably the happiest i have been my whole life right now! I have great family, friends, boyfriend, and im in nursing school. Cant ask for much more than that! Well yall....i hope to keep a better track on this blog thing and keep everyone posted. I love looking at all your blogs!
